This is an upholstered chair that I made based in patterns from a Japanese dollshouse book. I am not very happy with the final result, but I have learned a lot! One thing I learned is that is very difficult, almost impossible (at least for me) to get ride of the ruffles in the back chair, because the seat is round, I tried to strech the fabric as much as possible, but the result is always the same, ruffles!!!!!!!!!!!! so, now i am trying to make another kind of upholstered chair, complete different design....
I like the ruffles. :D

Ana, what ruffles? Sorry bu I really couldn't see the ruffles :)
ResponderEliminarI really like what you did! I thought the fabric combo was really clever! And really pretty! So I am surprise to read that you were not too happy with your work :). You should be, Ana, it's a fabulous effort!

Sans, I tried to disguise the ruffles doing 2 pleats....I have explained the problem, this happens because the seat in round, so with the backside of the chair, you don´t have that problem, because the fabric is glue in the outside of the pattern, but in the front it is the opposite, when you curve the pattern (like a C) will appeared some ruffles...
ResponderEliminarThanks for all your sweet comments...:):):)
