These are all miniatures in 12th scale made by my friend Cecilia, aren´t they lovely? Can yoy see the tiny, tiny snail and the turtle with the palm tree. The shopping bag is perfect.

ok! eu esqueci-me de escrever isto no nosso idioma, têm razão, está errado. As minhas desculpas. Então é assim, dia 13 de Maio faz um ano que comecei este blog. my new hobby

My new hobby or my future job (LOL), who knows....making BAGs

I bought some books I saw in the Amazon, and I have fallen in love for them. This is the main reason for buying a sewing machine since for miniatures I like to hand-sew.

So, I have already bought some fabrics and I have "make-over" my living room as sewing room!!!! So, if you visit me you are going to have tea in the kitchen (LOL).

my birthday!

First of all, thanks Katie!!!! It iwas very nice to receive your comment, and to see you remembered my birthday.
I have been with lots of things to do, including a new free course in wood working, now in inlaid work. The course is 3 times a week, from 6.30 to 9.30 pm, after a day working. So I arrive at home by 10 o´clock. I also was ill last week-end, nothing serious, not the pig flu (LOL).
So, I hope now have more time to my mini work.
Finally, my birthday present from all the family, was a sewing machine!!!! . :) :):)

o que ando a fazer, de minis claro! What I have been done, minis of course!

Apesar de todo as estas mensagens, eu tenho andado a fazer mais mobilia, na verdade ando a fazer umas experiências e ando a construir diversas cabeceiras de cama. Modernamente usa-se muito as cabeceiras da cama encostadas à parede e depois um simples "soumier". baseada nesta ideia ando a fazer umas cabeceiras, as quais podem ser vendidas tal qual, o que as torna bastante baratas. Quem quiser eu faço a cama completa ou mesmo um estrado em madeira com ou sem gavetas.

During these last days, I am doing some pieces of furniture, as ususal in twelve scale, but I have an ideia of building head beds, just to use with a "soumier"! I am trying several designs of my own and I hope to have some photos soon. Those are for selling, as all the furniture I have been making and showing here, and they are very affordable, because it is only the head of the bead. If anyone wish I can make a complete bed, of course...

Achei isto uma ternura: em São Francisco uma rapariga teve esta ideia , escrever cartinhas minúsculas, em cafés, pastelarias etc, para quem quiser. As pesssoas ditam o texto que ela escreve numa letra minúscula, no respectivo papel de carta. Depois a cartinha é colocada num saco/envelope, com uma lupa, tudo bem lacrado e segue por correio normal. Chocolate eggs and almonds, Ovinhos de chocolate e amêndoas

O que eu mais gosto na Páscoa é o fim de semana prolongado! Quem não gosta? Divirtam-se e comam muitas amêndoas e ovinhos de chocolate, ou o que mais vos apeteça!!!!
In Portugal we use to eat sweet almonds, covered with sugar or chocolate and of course chocolate eggs for the children.
But what I like most is the big week-end....3 all days for making miniatures.

Finalmente! Finally!

This is a set of pieces for the living room, all inspired in the Arts & Crafts and Mission styles. All the things you see were made by myself, the exception is the sculpture. Now, I amd doing some little pilows for the coach and a rug.

tudo dá errado, everything goes wrong

Desde io fim de semana passado tenho andado a tentar acabar umas cadeiras que fiz , mas parece que tudo o que faço saí mal ou é asneira. Até já pensei começar tudo de novo. Agora, voltei a lixar tudo e vou repintar. Vamos ver se é desta (URRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!)
Since last wek-end i am trying to finish to chairs that I have made during the week-end, but everything I have done it was horrible. I decided to sand all the chairs and to see what I can done with them. I hope in the end I can get something nice...I hate when this happens.

mesa de apoio - coffee table

A mesa de apoio para colocar à frente do sofá, também foi feita com pequenos encaixes, mas aqui "inventei" um processo diferente para colocar as pernas da mesa. Ainda não dei o acabamento como se pode ver nas fotos. O sofá inspirado no movimento Arts and Crafts também já está quase pronto, já levou as ripas que servem de apoio ao assento.

This is a coffee table to match the couch or box settle that I made inspired in the the Arts and Crafts / Mission model. I used the same approach as for the couch, all made with joins, and the piece can stand up without any glue. I am now finishing both pieces, I hope to have new pictures soon.
